Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin sterile needles at different acupuncture points on your body. It is commonly used to treat pain, but it also for stress management, anxiety, depression, weight loss, common cold, allergies, diabetes, hypertension and overall wellness.
Acupuncture is used for balancing the flow of energy or life force, known as chi or qi (chee), which flows through pathways (meridians) in your body. When needles are inserted into specific points along these meridians the energy then returns to a balanced state. This stimulation can boost your body’s immune system and its ability to act as a natural painkiller.
CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE
Cupping is used on specific parts of the body to stimulate blood flow, balance the flow of Qi, and break up stagnation. This technique creates an avenue for toxins to be released from the body. As with gua sha, cupping can leave marks or bruising on the skin that usually go away in a week.
Gua sha is a scraping of the skin with short or long strokes to stimulate the microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. A smooth-edged instrument known as a gua tool is used with oil along with the downward scraping of the skin to release toxins, promote blood flow, and circulation to the area. Gua Sha is used to decrease inflammation, relieve pain, and promote healing.
ACUPUNCTURE POINT INJECTION THERAPY
Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy is the injection of homeopathic substances, like Traumeel, or vitamin B12 into acupuncture points to manage pain, muscle spasm, inflammation, arthritis, fatigue, and vitamin deficiency. Like acupuncture, fine needles are inserted into acupuncture points or trigger points just under the skin or into muscles. A healing process is created by stimulating those acupuncture points with natural substances and affecting the body on a deeper level to promote healing.
Homeopathic medicine is an alternative medical system developed in Germany more than 200 years ago. It is a branch of alternative medicine that embraces a holistic, natural approach to the treatment of illness. The remedies are produced according to the U.S. FDA-recognized Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States from natural sources, which can be vegetable, mineral, or animal in nature.
